I chose this image to represent 'Invitations' on our home page. It's from our host site, one of their outdoor hot springs tubs (likely taken in 2018). I picked it not just because it’s a really cool picture but also because it’s symbolic. Look beyond and you will see (FYI the grass is no longer brown like it was then). To me, it represents finding serenity in the midst of chaos. Surrendering to Nature. Facing the things beyond our control and still finding peace. It represents honing all of the power within and choosing the salve.
Maybe that wasn’t even the intention when they took this image but like all art, it is in the eye of the beholder. Regardless, it’s a beautiful, powerful, and feminine image. And it represents my intention for this soothing oasis of a retreat.
